Independence policy

Draft for review · English source text · Not yet approved for production.

Facts and inspections

Operator-supplied facts, such as cabin counts and published facilities, must remain distinguishable from independent inspection results. Online reviews and operator marketing do not become an inspection score. Fictional examples are labeled and excluded from production inventory. A published evaluation must identify its inspection date and approved source.

How scores are calculated

Checks are scored from 0 to 5 and converted to the published seven-dimension weighting. Each dimension’s weighted points are rounded to two decimal places; the sum is also rounded to two decimal places. Price, route choice and category are excluded from the inspection score. Editorial best-for labels and preference-based matches are separate from the inspection result.

Proposed conflict and commercial safeguards

Proposed policy: evaluators disclose relevant conflicts; commercial fees do not purchase a score; operators may correct factual errors and respond without controlling the evaluation. Any paid placement must be identified separately. The current finance implementation records a commission calculated from verified payments under the booking’s financial rules. The commercial team must approve the exact fee disclosure and confirm whether any other revenue or placement arrangements exist.

Corrections and freshness

Scores reflect the inspection date and boats can change afterwards. Send factual corrections or evaluation concerns to hello@nileecruz.com with the vessel name and supporting evidence. Before launch, publish the responsible reviewer, reassessment triggers, review cadence and dispute response process. No response-time guarantee or reassessment frequency is claimed by this draft.
